The John Glenn College of Public Affairs is a family of individuals committed to making positive change in the world. Through programming and education, we strive to inspire citizenship throughout our community and develop the next generation of public and nonprofit leaders.

Welcome to the Department of Economics at The Ohio State University. The Department’s 25 tenure track faculty members teach and conduct research in areas such as behavioral economics, macroeconomics, labor economics, econometrics, monetary economics, industrial organization, and economic history. We have 10 associated faculty members, approximately 1000 undergraduate majors, and about 75 Ph.D. students.

We are often asked about our name and what it stands for. CHRR was founded in 1965 as the Center for Human Resource Research. We changed our to-do-business name to CHRR at The Ohio State University. As the meaning of human resources has evolved over time, we remain committed to our mission of studying an array of socioeconomic factors through survey research and the organization and dissemination of administrative data. Today, we use CHRR at The Ohio State University to emphasize our connection with one of the nation’s leading research universities as we provide survey and data services for researchers worldwide.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is a diverse team of passionate, education-focused professionals dedicated to fulfilling the vision established in Each Child, Our Future, Ohio’s strategic plan for education. The vision is, “In Ohio, each child is challenged to discover and learn, prepared to pursue a fulfilling post-high school path and empowered to become a resilient, lifelong learner who contributes to society.” Ensuring this vision for each of Ohio’s 1.7 million students, in partnership with more than 240,000 educators across the state, is no small feat. Under the leadership of the superintendent of public instruction and governed by the State Board of Education, Department team members, in collaboration with a wide range of partners, are sharply focused on helping schools and districts continually improve to be the best they can be for each child. Equity and impact are core to every program, service and action. The Department’s work is well regarded both in Ohio and nationally for its innovative, leading-edge and forward-looking approach. When the Department succeeds, students succeed, communities succeed and Ohio succeeds.

The Ohio Department of Higher Education is a Cabinet-level agency for the Governor of the State of Ohio that oversees higher education for the state.

The Office of Workforce Transformation's mission is to connect Ohio's business, training, and education communities to build a dynamically skilled, productive, and purposeful workforce.

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the State of Ohio agency whose mission is to empower Ohioans with disabilities through employment, disability determination, and independence.

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) facilitates the development, rehabilitation and financing of low- to moderate-income housing. The Agency's programs help first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens, and others find quality affordable housing that meets their needs. Formerly a division of the Ohio Department of Development, OHFA became an independent state agency on July 1, 2005 through Amended Substitute House Bill (HB) 431. OHFA funds competitive fixed-rate mortgage loans and provides financing for the development and rehabilitation of affordable rental housing through the Housing Tax Credit program, issuing tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds, and other affordable housing programs.
