Dr. Sam Stringfield will present a 13 year follow-up of a co-constructed High Reliability Schools project in the United Kingdom at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual meeting. Initial 4-year secondary school results in a high poverty Welsh district were very encouraging. Three rounds of follow-up, at 5, 11, and 13 years have found increasingly positive and nation-leading gains, so that the High Reliability Schools program has been demonstrated to be both initially successful and fully institutionalized. Implications for future reform efforts in the UK and US will be discussed.
