Dr. Gregory Foley and Dr. Stephen Phelps will describe Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (AQR), an innovative course in mathematics, statistics, and modeling for high school seniors. After 8 years of planning, writing, classroom testing, and refining, the AQR materials are now being implemented with some 3,000 students throughout Cincinnati and Columbus, and at other schools in Ohio, Iowa, Texas, and Singapore. An OERC case study is investigating the impact of AQR on college readiness for mathematics and statistics.
